Clever design gives Fantasy Island more useable space than other yachts of her size,
allowing her to accommodate up to 10 guests in air-conditioned staterooms with queen-
sized beds and vacuum-flush toilets. Four of these cabins are very large and the
fifth is smaller, but still comfortable. Her crew of three occupies two additional cabins,
with their own head and shower.
Each guest cabin has a flat screen LCD TV and a Sony Playstation2, which enables you to
enjoy a library of more than 100 DVD movies, listen to your choice of more than 100 CDs
or play video games, including Tiger Woods Golf and NFL Football. Two cabins can be
configured with twin beds by raising one half of the (split) mattress eight inches higher
than the other half, making Fantasy Island equally suited to couples or families.
The salon is open and spacious and includes the galley, with serving counter, a bar and
comfortable seating. You can watch a movie on the larger flat-screen TV with Bose
sound system, listen to some good music, or just relax in air-conditioned comfort. There’s
also full-time Internet access and a phone for your convenience. At night, recessed LED
lighting provides a dramatic effect.
Just aft of the salon is the cockpit area with dining tables on both sides. The cockpit has
a permanent carbon-fiber bimini overhead to protect you from the sun, and the entire cockpit
area can be enclosed in the event of rain. The cockpit is at deck level, so you don’t need to
climb in or out of it – you simply walk through the aft entry opening to the deck beyond.
Each hull has wide stern steps leading down to the water for swimming or diving, with a
fold-down stainless steel ladder. You can enter the dinghy easily, thanks to the
design of the boarding platform, which is the same height as the dinghy’s inflatable tubes.
A fresh-water hot and cold shower is located at each stern platform, so you can rinse off
after swimming.
Sun lovers particularly enjoy the large forward trampolines and seats built into the bow railing
each side. This is a very popular spot both at anchor and under sail. Directional Bose
speakers mounted on the mast can play music for your enjoyment. Due to the massive sails,
there’s usually some shade from the sun on one side of the boat or the other when under way.
Fantasy Island has twin engines for reliability under power, two
generators to assure you of electricity whenever needed, and a large (65 gallons per hour) water maker to provide an
uninterrupted water supply throughout your charter. She points higher into the wind than most
cruising sailboats and sails faster, all without noticeable heel and without the
fuss of a conventional sailboat. Her performance never ceases to surprise experienced charter
guests (and the other boats as you pass them)!
