Thanks for your note. I ‘d be happy to give your our
thoughts on the charter of Chateau and its owners
Doug and Barb Rogers.
First, the boat was roomy, in good condition, clean and
well appointed. Well outfitted with dinghy, snorkel
gear, sound equipment (and an ample supply of music
of every genre), not to mention provision for karaoke .
The cell phone and working internet allowed us to
maintain touch with home at any time.
Breakfasts (7) and lunch (4), dinners (3) were well
prepared and ample. Drinks were as requested in
our pre-trip preference sheet and we didn’t run out.
Doug and Barb are ideally suited for this kind of
activity in that they were always one step ahead of
us and anticipated our schedule. They were hospitable
without interfering, and by mid week we wanted them
to share in our shore activities during the evenings.
Of particular note, my single daughter Donna enjoyed
Barb’s efforts to find her a match at Cane Garden and
later at Foxy’s. It was certainly a high point for her.
I thoroughly enjoyed the experience, they matched our
“itinerary” as closely as weather and good sense per-
mitted. I was delighted to have been allowed to sail
the boat as much as I did.
In summary, I would happily recommend this couple and
boat to anyone
