Fernando started
crewing on charter boats when he was 16 years old and went on to become an
esteemed chef on both charter sail boats and a private floating “gin
palace”! He was regarded as the best charter boat chef throughout the
Caribbean for several years so much so that charter boat guests followed him
from boat to boat in pursuit of his culinary delights. He has also written
several cook books.
After crewing on
charter yachts for several years in the Caribbean Geri met Fernando on the
“gin palace” in Greece. They sailed back to the Caribbean islands.
Together they
lived in England for a number of years but the call of the Caribbean was too
great which inspired Fernando and Geri to buy Calliope to return to
chartering around the beautiful Caribbean islands.
Geri loves
entertaining, Fernando loves cooking and with Calliope’s fully qualified fun
